It should be noted that these items are separately listed (under the 'Z' references below) in the SG Commonwealth & British Empire Stamps 1840-1852 Catalogue, 2003, formerly Part I. However, the prices quoted are many years out of date. For example, the 4d Vermilion Plate 15 (SG152) used in Mayaguez (Porto Rico) is listed in the current SG Concise (2003) at £325 for the basic stamp without 'Used Abroad' cancellation. The same stamp with 'F85' cancellation is listed in the current Commonwealth catalogue at £150. This is clearly a nonsense, as the usage abroad is of considerably greater scarcity. I have tried to reflect the currently burgeoning market in these items in my prices, though estimates of true relative value can only be approximate.
